December in Palermo

Dear friends,

We meet again this December in Palermo and want to thank all of you who have shown interest in and appreciation for our island and its capital. 2023, now drawing to a close, has been a year full of pleasant encounters and great satisfaction!

Joining us has been the warm December sun in Palermo, which has inspired us to come together to plan new tours and experiences for you. New itineraries for the coming year are in the works, offering a chance to discover the best of Sicilian food and wine.

Meanwhile, the historic city center has become a destination for many Palermitans traveling from all neighborhoods to explore a new space: Marina Yachting Palermo, reconnecting the city with its sea. A stretch of coastline that was long neglected and inaccessible has now been carefully redeveloped.

Visitors can now stroll along the waterfront between ancient walls, 16th-century bastions, and new water features. In one of the new venues, you can taste high-quality Sicilian wines, enjoy dishes made with local products, or try typical street food. And you can still shop in elegant stores in search of authentic Made in Italy products.

When you visit or return to Palermo, take a seat by the sea and enjoy a breathtaking view. Your eyes can rest on the boats moored at the pier, the spires and domes of the historic center churches, or our sacred mountain, Monte Pellegrino.

We look forward to sharing more about our city, its past, present, and future projects. In the meantime, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.

Silvia, Gino, and Marilù
